Vodafone has launched a new Solar phone the VF247 aimed at the Indian market. One can charge the battery using Sun light and its inbuilt Sun Boost hardware and software. Solar charging will take 8 hours to fully charge the battery.

The handset will cost Rs.1500 in India or roughly about $32 and is expected to go on sale next month.
